I woke to a much cooler day today – a welcome respite from the hot and/or muggy weather we’ve been having lately. Then I was out the door into the semi-darkness for my 6km morning constitution – a pretty good way to start any day and especially the start of a new week.
The ‘burb was quiet this morning – it always is on a Monday morning. People are still in weekend mode and it takes a while for everyone to get back into the work week groove. I chose a route that had me going up one hill and down another, around a bend, up another street, and so forth. There was no particular plan I was following this morning – just going with the flow and seeing where my legs would take me.
Sometimes those sessions that seemingly lack structure are the best sessions. It gets me out of a routine that sometimes gets stuck and reminds me of why I do what I do – because I enjoy being active.
“Running is a form of relaxation. That’s one of theĀ curiositiesĀ of life – that such a high-energy activity could be so relaxing.” – Lee C. Bollinger

My Mondays are always just like your day today, take whatever happens, no idea, just go with the flow.
