Back to work today. But before that I managed a swim at the pool. I was so tempted not to go swimming after a crappy night’s sleep. I was trying to tell myself I was justified in staying in bed a little longer grabbing some valuable shut eye but I ignored the arguments and went. It helped that I had packed my swimming bag the night before so really there was no excuse not to go. And I was glad I did make the effort because it was a great swim, and an excellent way to start the day. And besides it was good for my back.
One area I do need to improve in is with drinking water. Lately I have been guilty of forgetting to drink water, instead having a coffee or three, and wondering why I feel very ordinary in the afternoon, with a nagging headache. I have bought myself a gorgeous blue insulated water jug which sits on my desk, as a constant reminder to drink. And because its insulated the water stays cold. Today I managed several jugs worth of water. Given that the weather is heating up again, with 37 predicted for tomorrow, and 38 for Friday, I really need to make sure I keep the fluids up, and not of the caffeinated kind.🙂
